The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile, which crashes through a narrow 7-metre gorge to create Murchison Falls — the world's most powerful waterfall — before flowing into Lake Albert.

How many days do I need at Murchison Falls?
We recommend a minimum of 2 nights / 3 days to experience the park properly — one full day for game drives and one for the Nile boat cruise and falls hike. 3 nights allows a more relaxed pace and better wildlife sightings.
When is the best time to visit Murchison Falls?
Murchison Falls is excellent year-round. The dry seasons (December–February and June–August) offer easier game viewing as animals concentrate around water sources. The green season (March–May) brings lush scenery and excellent birding with fewer tourists.
